Prices are in US dollars. Sales tax is added at checkout where we are required to collect it, based on your shipping address. Shipping costs are shown before you pay. An order is accepted when we email you a receipt; we may cancel and refund any order we cannot fulfil, for example if a product runs out.

We currently ship within the United States only.

A preorder is charged in full when you place it. The shipping window is shown on the product page, at checkout, and in your receipt. If we cannot ship inside that window we will tell you, give you a new date, and offer a full refund. You may cancel a preorder for a full refund at any time before it ships by writing to us.

During a preorder we may sell a stated number of bars at a founders' price below the list price shown on the site. The number of bars and the discount are stated on the site and applied at checkout. Once those bars are claimed, or once the batch ships, the list price applies.

In-stock orders leave within two business days and we email you the tracking number. Risk of loss passes to you when the carrier delivers to the address you gave us. Check the address at checkout; we cannot recover parcels sent to a wrong address you entered.

If a bar arrives damaged, or you are unhappy with it, write to us within 14 days of delivery and we will replace it or refund it. We may ask for a photo. Refunds go back to the original payment method. Because soap is a personal care product, we do not accept used bars back for hygiene reasons, but the 14-day promise above still stands.

Our soap is a cosmetic for external use. It is made from olive oil, water, and a small number of natural ingredients; the full list is printed on every wrap. If you have a known sensitivity to any ingredient, do not use it. Stop using it if irritation occurs. Nothing on this site is medical advice, and we make no claim that the product treats or prevents any condition. Each bar is cut by hand; small differences in shape, colour, and weight are normal.

If you tick the box to receive texts, you agree to receive automated text messages from Baraké at the number you gave: a message when your bars ship and, now and then, a Baraké update. Consent is not a condition of buying. Up to 4 texts a month. Message and data rates may apply. Reply STOP at any time to end, or HELP for help.

The words, photographs, the Baraké seal, and the design of this site belong to us. You may not copy them for commercial use. Do not try to break, probe, or overload the site. We may change or withdraw any part of the site at any time.

To the extent the law allows, our liability for any order is limited to the amount you paid for it, and we are not liable for indirect or consequential losses. Nothing here limits liability that cannot be limited under applicable law, including for personal injury caused by our negligence, or your rights as a consumer under the law of your state.

These terms are governed by the laws of the State of Michigan and the United States. If something goes wrong, write to us first; we would rather fix it than argue. Any dispute that cannot be resolved that way will be brought in the state or federal courts located in Michigan, unless your local consumer law gives you the right to go elsewhere.
